Wellness Exams

Routine wellness exams are an important part of keeping your family members happy and healthy. Wellness exams are also important as they can allow us to help prevent and catch illnesses before they become issues. We recommend running routine blood work and fecal testing as part of our wellness exams to ensure your pets stay healthy.

Dentistry

Just like in humans, dental care is an important part of your pet’s overall health and well-being. The doctors at Pine Tree recommend annual routine dental cleanings on your pet to maintain the best dental care possible. This allows us to catch any potential issues before they become problems like tooth root abscesses and broken/chipped teeth.

Surgery

Routine surgical procedures at Pine Tree are performed 3 days a week (Tuesdays, Thursdays and alternating Mondays and Wednesdays. For all surgical procedures, we ask that pets arrive between 7:30am and 8:00am on the morning of their scheduled surgery. We ask that an owner or authorized person over the age of 18 drops off patients in the morning to sign off on surgical consent paperwork.

For all surgical procedures at Pine Tree, blood work and an IV catheter are mandatory. Pre-anesthetic blood work is run to check kidney and liver values (the two organs that process anesthesia the most). IV catheters allow us to provide IV fluids throughout surgery and allows us to administer pain medications more effectively.

All of our surgical patients go home with pain medications and an e-collar or recovery suit to ensure the best recovery at home.

Urgent Care

We understand that pets don't get sick at convenient times. While we do have scheduled appointments for our patients, we do try to see urgent cases as either fit-in appointments or as drop off appointments. These are on a limited availability basis, so please call to see the availability each day.

Diagnostics

At Pine Tree, we know that diagnostics can be the best option for finding out what is going on with your sick pet. We are able to take x-rays and ultrasounds to help determine what is going on internally with your pets. We also have in-house diagnostics including the ability to run blood work, check urine for urinary tract infections and run fecal samples to rule out internal parasites. We can also send out lab work for sampling and further diagnostics to outside laboratories.

End of Life Services

We understand that our pets are more than just pets, they're important members of our families. All of the staff at Pine Tree understand just how difficult the decision is to say goodbye to your beloved family member. Our staff is here to help you cope with the decision and help you grieve the loss of your pet.
